Early Release Day for studentsParents and Guardians – On Wednesday, September 27th students will be released from school at 11:00 a.m. for a 3 hour early release day.  Please make the necessary arrangements for your students.  If you have any questions or concerns please call the school at 910-484-6954.

Sept. 12th – Grits for Grandparents – 1st Grade and Mrs. Idol’s class – Make sure and turn in your RSVP form by Sept. 8th.
Sept. 13th – Grits for Grandparents – Pre-K and Kindergarten  – Make sure and turn in your RSVP form by Sept. 8th.
Sept. 15th – Cape Fear Elementary Night at Cape Fear High School Football field at 6:30 p.m – Buy your tickets in the front office at Stedman Primary.
Sept. 26th – PTA/Title 1/Curriculum/Assessment Night in the Media Center – 6:00 p.m. Dinner and 6:30 p.m. Meeting begins.

        
“Teacher of the Year” and “Support Person of the Year” Chosen for 2017 – 2018

2017-2018 Teacher of the Year - Mrs. BunceMrs. Ashley Bunce was selected by her peers as “Teacher of the Year” for 2017-2018.  Mrs. Bunce is a kindergarten teacher who works hard each day to meet the needs of her students.  Though Mrs. Bunce has been teaching just three years, she has gained the admiration of her peers, students, and parents.

Mrs. Annette Maykovich and Mrs. Angela Melvin share the title of “Support Person of the Year” for 2017 – 2018.  Mrs. Maykovich currently serves as the school’s energetic bookkeeper and performs many other functions throughout the school.  She was previously a teacher’s assistant.  Read more

Voluntary Membership in a group accident insurance program is made available to students each school year. Participation in the plan is voluntary and made available through school publications annually and parents are urged to purchase it for their children.

If you don’t already have accident insurance for your child, Cumberland County Schools has contracted with QBE Insurance Group to offer coverage, which you may purchase at their website anytime during the school year by visiting www.k12studentinsurance.com.

– Certified Birth Certificate of Child
Immunization Record of Child
– Proof of Residency (Lease or Utility Bill)
– Completed Physical for Kindergarten Students
– Report Card (First Graders)
Children must turn five years of age on or before August 31 of the school year in which they enroll.
